Our CEO, Le Roux Conradie and Sevens Legends Frankie Horne went off to Las Vegas for a number of business meetings and what a golden opportunity it was to combine these meetings with supporting the National Sevens team during the recent Sevens Tournament. It was indeed a proud moment when these super sportsmen once again held the trophy in the end!
From Vegas, Le Roux set off to Seattle to catch up with Charl Faurie at Redmond Tennis Club where they are hard at work with an expansion phase. Read more under our Tennis Section.
Much fun was had by all during this inaugural event that kicked off the ninth annual Century City Sports Festival on March 2nd. Central Park is a perfect spot for companies to have such a fun corporate team building event, so be sure to contact us if you are looking for something fresh and different to do with your teams!
A big thank you to the CCPOA’s Tatum Sieni for her tremendous efforts as well as to the Rabie Group, Ratanga Junction, Intaka Island, Canal Walk and Taylor Made for the prizes handed out and to Stellenbrau who, once again supported our event with their delicious cold beer on tap.
Being so diverse in what we do, it is extremely important for us to keep everyone in the group informed of the various projects we are all working on and to foster a team spirit and company culture. For this reason we have a quarterly staff meeting where team members based abroad Skype in with time zones varying from 9 am SA time, to 11:00 in Abu Dhabi and 22:00 in Seattle! Frankie ended the session with a motivational presentation on Team Culture, a subject he knows intimitely well!
An exciting expansion phase is currently in progress at RTC - three additional indoor courts, a pickleball court and a speciality indoor fitness training facility. The expansion is scheduled to be completed by the end of March.
A great front page article appeared earlier this month in the Redmond Reporter.

Caylix Sport, together with former Springbok Sevens rugby player Frankie Horne, has developed a rugby specific skills development program, aimed at primary school (Gr 1-7) learners. The focus will be on basic skills such as speed, agility, passing and special awareness. These will be based on Frankie’s vast experience and history in the modern Sevens game. Each course consists of 12 training sessions over a six week period and forms part of a four course program presented quarterly throughout the year.
